WHY A PRIVACY POLICY?

The Portuguese Football Federation (Federação Portuguesa de Futebol - FPF) is a non-profit, publicly-owned legal person founded in the form of an association of private law, whose main purpose is to promote, regulate and manage, on a national level, the teaching and practice of football in all variants and competitions, with exclusive competence in Portugal to coordinate national teams of this sport modality.  FPF is committed to protect its supporters and users’ privacy of its websites. This privacy policy explains which personal data is collected by FPF and how that data is processed. The rules specified in this Privacy Policy complement the rules on the protection and processing of personal data provided for in the Terms and Conditions that regulate the offer of the diverse products and services of FPF.

WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS?

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the personal data collection and processing by the FPF websites. Any other websites with links to the FPF are not the responsibility of the FPF, so this Privacy Policy is not applied to them.

WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA FOR THIS PURPOSE?

Personal data is any information regarding an identified or identifiable private person ("data holder"). Any person who can be identified directly or indirectly, namely by reference to an identifier, such as a name, identity number, electronic means identifiers or one or more specific elements of physical, physiological, psychic, economic, cultural or social identity.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA PROCESSING?

The entity responsible for the personal data collection and processing is the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

WHAT PERSONAL DATA ARE COLLECTED?

FPF collects and accurately handles appropriate, relevant and limited personal data to successfully manage its activity and provide the best experiences with its products and services. Data can be collected through FPF websites or by telephone, at the time of purchase of products, subscription to FPF services and initiatives or when contacting us for support, in strict compliance with the legitimacy sources provided for in the personal data legal protection regime. FPF will duly inform when some personal data are mandatory for the completion of a proceeding (sale, registration or other). The supporter and/or user of FPF websites may refuse to provide it, but when choosing to provide the mandatory data required to obtain a product or service, one may not be able to use that product or feature. Some of this data is provided directly by the user, such as the data given when signing up, registering for an event, requests for clarification and/or complaints. FPF obtains some of this data through the registration of how the user interacts with the offer of certain products and services, namely through cookies. FPF also collects Third Party data.

WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA?

The personal data collected is intended for the management of FPF activity, which includes the use of data for product improvement and customization of experiences. Personal data may also be used for communication with the supporter and/or user, which includes the use of information from the user account, security updates, responses to complaints and suggestions, dissemination of institutional information, campaigns, promotions, advertising and diverse news regarding all FPF activities, as well as market surveys and satisfaction surveys. Personal data is collected for specific purposes and can’t be later processed in a way different from those purposes, except with permission for that. Subsequent processing for public interest actions or for the purposes of scientific or historical research or for statistical purposes is not considered incompatible with the initial purposes.

FOR HOW LONG ARE PERSONAL DATA STORED?

The length of time during which the data is stored and maintained may differ according to the purpose for which the information was processed. In any case, it will only be stored for the minimum time required to use them. Data which are exclusively processed for purposes of public interest or for the purposes of scientific or historical research or for statistical purposes may be retained for longer periods provided that they are subject to the appropriate technical and organizational measures required under the legal regulation of personal data protection.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

When defining the means of treatment and the processing itself, FPF applies the appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee due security and confidentiality, including to prevent the access to personal data and equipment used for processing, or its use, by unauthorized persons.

NOTIFICATION OF PERSONAL DATA BREACH

FPF notifies, without undue delay, the supporter and/or user of its websites whenever there is a breach of their personal data, that may entail a high risk for their freedoms and rights.

WHEN CAN THE DATA BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER ENTITIES (THIRD PARTIES AND SUBCONTRACTORS)?

FPF may share personal data of FPF websites’ supporters or users with third parties with their consent or for the provision of certain services or provision of certain products. FPF guarantees that all entities to whom the data may be transferred, present sufficient guarantees of execution of appropriate technical and organizational measures, in compliance with the legal regulation of personal data protection. FPF may also share the personal data of FPF websites’ supporters or users when required by law or to respond to legal proceedings for the protection of their supporters or users of FPF websites for reasons of safety and public interest and to protect its rights and ownership of FPF.

HOW TO ACCESS, EDIT OR OPPOSE TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA?

The data provider has the right to access, update, edit or delete the personal data, which can be done by changing the data in the personal area of ​​the FPF website or by sending here a request to FPF, selecting the subject Personal Data.

PERSONAL DATA OF CHILDREN

FPF does not intentionally seek to collect personal data from children under 13 years on its websites. In accordance with the legal regulation for the protection of personal data, the processing is only allowed if the permission is given by the legal representatives of the minor. Purchase on FPF website can only be carried out by adults.
